Dr. J.R. Green is a native of South Carolina and has served the state's students for over 30 years in various capacities, including teacher, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent. For the past 12 years, he has held the position of Superintendent Of Schools for the Fairfield County School District. During his tenure, the district constructed a state-of-the-art career and technology center that offers programs such as engineering, barbering, nursing, auto collision, and more.

Dr. Green has achieved several accolades, including being named the South Carolina Superintendent of the Year 2021 by the South Carolina Association of School Administrators (SCASA). He has also launched the STEM Early College Academy in collaboration with Midlands Technical College. Currently, he is working on creating the first "teacher village" in South Carolina.
